Is there still a Mr King?
  • Yes, Kings DIY is still a family-owned and -run business.
Can I pay with...?
  • We accept cash payments.
  • We accept Contactless card payments up to £100.
  • We accept both Android Pay and Apple Pay.
  • We are unable to accept Amex - apologies for any inconvenience caused
Can I return a product if...?
  • ...if I don't need it? We are usually happy to refund surplus items, so long as they are returned in good condition within a reasonable timeframe and you have your receipt.
  • ...if I've got the wrong one? We are usually happy to refund or exchange incorrect items (for example if you picked up light bulbs with the wrong fittings), so long as they are returned in good condition within a reasonable timeframe and you have your receipt.
  • ...if it's faulty? Many items are covered by a statutory 1-year warranty, while others carry an extended warranty at the manufacturer's discretion. If you need to return a defective item, please bring all parts and packaging for the item plus your receipt.
  • PLEASE NOTE: certain items (including locks and paints) cannot be refunded once opened, unless they are defective.
Is there anything you don't sell?
  • The most commonly requested items which we can't supply are grub screws and striker plates.
  • If we're unable to supply what you're looking for ourselves, we'll try to point you to a suitable vendor whenever if possible.
  • We regret we are also unable to source hen's teeth, pig's wings, or a bag for your Dyson.
Do you mind if I bring my dog into the shop?
  • Well-behaved dogs on a lead are welcome.
